Dr. Sarkar, Founder Chairman of Jupiter & Allen Group of Companies.

A   B. Sc., Homoeopath, Drug approved Allopathic & Ayurvedic manufacturing Chemist, Researcher and Formulator of Ayurvedic & Homoeopathic medicines. He is serving to the mankind through developing and manufacturing medicines since 1969. He has been awarded as1st Gereration Entrepreneur by the Bharat Chamber of Commerce in 1998-1999.

Dr. G. P. Sarkar is the President of Ayurvedic Drug manufacturers’ Association of India & Vice-President of Federation of Homoeopathic Manufacturers’ of India (FOHMI). He is an Executive Committee Member of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Chairman –District Business Development Standing Committee of BNCCI, member of State Medicinal Plants Board, Govt. of West Bengal.

He is the recipient of many prestigious awards and accolades. He has been awarded as glorious Ex-Student for his extra ordinary success in the field of Homoeopathic medicinal industry, by the Teachers Council of The Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital on the eve of 125 years celebration. Dr. Sarkar is forever setting new Benchmarks in the industry for others to follow. His vision and Philosophy are best encaplulated in his corporate credo : Concern, Care and Commitment.

Gour Pada Sarkar, the eldest son of Late K.B. Sarkar and Smt. M.B. Sarkar was born at Uthali, Dhaka,Bangladesh in 1939. He migrated to India in 1953 and stayed with his uncle, Late A.C. Sarkar at Birpur, Nadia. He passed B. Sc Exam .in 1965 from Surendranath College, Kolkata. In 1966 he started working as Medical Sales Representative and at the same time he studied Homoeopathy in the Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (Evening Session) in 1966-1967.

In 1969 Dr. Sarkar first ventured into manufacture and marketing of Allopathic medicine as a partner of Jupiter Chemical Works which is today’s Jupiter Pharmaceuticals Ltd., of which Dr. Sarkar is the Chairman and his eldest son Mr. M.K. Sarkar is the Managing Director.
